Library Book Move 2014

Many of the books in the ACU Library, except for the Stanley Theological Reading Room, are being relocated to movable compact shelving on the first floor of the library.  This move will occur between September and October and will open up more study space on the first and third floors of the library.  During the move, some books may not be easily accessible.  We apologize for any inconvenience and ask that you seek librarian assistance at the main floor research desk, if you are unable to locate what you are looking for.

Library Hours

Sunday - 2 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Monday-Thursday - 7:30 a.m. - 12 a.m.

Friday - 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

    About ACU's Personal Librarian Program

The Cornerstone class invites you to think, write and speak critically about issues, ideas, problems, and questions.  Part of this process is identifying what assumptions are being made about an issue, what evidence is needed to inform decisions, and what implications might come about as a result of thinking in a given way.

An important tool in assisting with the creation of informed writing and speaking is the collection of books, journals and reference materials available at the Library.  Navigating the collection presents unique opportunities to make connections between ideas and evidence that support the points you are making in your work.

In order to facilitate navigating the Library’s collections, the Brown Library at ACU is partnering with Cornerstone to provide Personal Librarians for each section.  Contact information for your librarian is available on your instructor's site.
