The Stanley Theological Reading room was a unique vision of Gaines B. Stanley Jr. to honor his father, Gaines B. Stanley Sr.
Through the family's generous donation, a section of the Brown Library's third floor was transformed to house most of the library's theological and philosophical collections including reference material.
The Stanley Room features tables with lamps and power sources, a quiet study atmosphere with a pleasant reading area, and computer workstations with eight computers. The World's Largest Bible (the Waynai Bible), once housed in the Stanley Room, is now on loan to an exhibit in Colorado Springs, Colo. It is also getting some much needed repair. Read more about the Bible here.
