We are glad you are here! Some of you have never been to ACU's Brown Library before. This LibGuide will introduce you to Brown Library and help you learn some helpful information about searching a database and the catalog, and find relevant material in the sources you find.
Try this tool to help you get organized and stay on track with your next research paper.
1. A short poem is not necessarily a better poem. If you choose a short poem, there will be less work to criticize. If you choose a short poem, you will have less material to think about and write about. Longer is better.
2. A recently published poem (like in the last 35 years) is not necessarily a better poem. If you choose a recently published poem, it is less likely you will find criticisms. You need criticisms to write your paper.
3. Do a little research before you select your poem to find out if there have been any criticisms written about it. Some poets write tons of poetry, but not every poem has criticisms. You will save yourself a bit of frustration if you do this step. Choose wisely, young grasshopper.
