Tips for Searching for Dissertations

Tip #1: Research Methodology

When searching ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global, you can add the terms "qualitative" or "mixed methods" to your topic. For example, if you are looking for dissertations in the area of organizational change and leadership, you might type something like the following:

Organizational change and leadership and mixed methods

Tip #2: Doctoral Dissertations Filter

Before you complete your search, check the "Doctoral dissertations only" checkbox located under the search box.

Tip #3: Filter by Date

After you complete your search, you can limit to recent dissertations by using the "Publication date" option on the left-side menu. Use the slider or click "Enter a date range" and enter the first and last date and click update.

Tip #4: Link Correctly

Make sure to review these instructions on how to obtain a sharable link to the dissertation. (It's a little bit different from OneSearch.)
