ACU Library Resources for IDs & SMEs

ACU Brown Library resource overview for IDs and SMEs.

Services the library can provide to SMEs and IDs:

The ACU Distance & Online Library Services department offers helpful services to SMEs and IDs. This guide is designed to assist in accessing this information. Below is a list of the ways the library is available to assist.

  • Help with finding textbooks or readings through our vendor or open source

  • Help with finding articles and providing permalinks, library access links, or PDFs

  • Help with formatting of APA citations

  • Creating course or program specific guides (see examples for EdD, DNP, MMFT, Healthcare Administration, and CORE 115)

The Distance and Online Library Services department, Dr. Melissa Atkinson and Avery Weems, are the dedicated librarians that work directly with online students and faculty and manage library services and resources for online programs. Dr. Mark McCallon, Associate Dean of Library Information Services, can also answer questions from SMEs and IDs.

The best way to contact Dr. Atkinson is by email at melissa.atkinson@acu.edu. She can also be reached by phone at 325-674-4811.

Avery Weems can be contacted at avery.weems@acu.edu or reached by phone at 325-674-2465. Avery is especially helpful with helping students use and navigate Zotero, the free citation management tool.
